In this section you can find everything that is needed for work with chess databases (by the bases of parties). Descriptions of three programs-shells are presented for work with bases: ChessBase 8.0 (commerce, free DEMO), ChessAssistant (commerce, free DEMO), SCID (freeware).

In this section you can find the playing chess programs, playing modules for the programs-shells (WinBoard, Arena).

Pattern Training is a useful method to learn how to solve a series of common chess positions. This type of problem solving will train your eye to recognize patterns with certain combinations of pieces. Online systems are available to train in a plethora of games, chess along with blackjack and poker have all benefitted from technological training methods.
